About the dashboard

The development of the Sustainable Development Goals is shown in colours:

Trend towards UN goals (or status in keeping with UN goals)

Trend difficult to determine or situation unchanged

Trend not towards UN goals (or status not in keeping with UN goals)

Data is not available or indicators are of a global nature and cannot be measured for Denmark

The overview reflects the development in indicators from 2015 and not whether the goal can be reached by 2030.

Principles for the overview of Sustainable Development Goals

Statistics Denmark has prepared a number of principles for the SDG overview:
1
The trend assessment for the indicators should be interpreted as follows: green – trend towards the UN goals (or status in keeping with UN goals); yellow – trend difficult to determine or situation unchanged; red – trend not towards UN goals (or status not in keeping with UN goals); grey – data is not available or indicators are of a global nature and cannot be measured for Denmark.
2
The development in the SDGs is shown using pie charts at goal level. I.e. one pie chart corresponds to one Sustainable Development Goal. For greater transparency, indicators with the same colour are grouped.
3
Focus is exclusively on the development in indicators (towards UN goals, unchanged/difficult to determine, not towards UN goals) and not on whether the set out goals can be achieved by 2030.
4
The base year is 2015. The development is described as the difference between the base year and the most recent year for which data is available. Several data points between the base year and the most recent year available make no difference in the description of the development. If data for 2015 is not available, the base year is decided based on the available data.
5
If indicators consist of disaggregated data, such as sex or age, the development is determined based on the total. To ensure consistency, the trend is determined from the total, even if the figures for the underlying disaggregated data are not available.
6
A good share of indicators get notes ’100 per cent’ (e.g. all are covered), ’0 per cent’ (e.g. none are affected) or ’check mark’ (e.g. the condition is met). These indicators are estimated as fulfilled and are coloured green.
7
Since targets/indicators ’a’, ’b’ and ’c’ deal with tools for fulfilment of the remaining indicators, these are left out from this analysis.
To indicate the trend for indicators, Statistics Denmark will use existing data as a basis of assessment.
