Definition
Denmark does not compile continuous and official statistics in accordance with the methodology of the indicator. However, according to the Corruption Perception Index (CPI) from Transparency International, Denmark has a very low share of corruption compared to other countries (in 2019). The index measures the perceived corruption in the public sector through companies and experts. Therefore, Statistics Denmark estimates that the number of people that have paid – or been asked to pay a bribe to public officials in Denmark is very low.
