Description:

Statistics Denmark's Socio-Economic Classification (SOCIO) was introduced to social statistics, where groupings of this nature was relevant. The purpose of a socio-economic classification is to enable the division of persons by social and economic conditions. In the designing of this classification, individuals' connection to the labor market is essential for defining the groups. For employees, the main division of the International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO-88) is applied, with emphasis placed on job-relevant skills.
