Statistics Denmark makes National Patient Register (LPR) data available to researchers. In Statistics Denmark, the LPR contains a multitude of particulars on examinations and treatments for all contact with the Danish hospital system, including hospitalisation and outpatient treatment., The reporting to the National Patient Register version 2 (LPR2) transitioned to a new data format (LPR3) between 1 January 2019 and 3 March 2019. The transition occurred gradually from LPR2 to LPR3, and therefore, there are reports in both LPR2 and LPR3 during this period. After 3 March 2019, reporting in LPR2 was closed, and all reports after that date are registered in LPR3., LPR2, Statistics Denmark has LPR2 data from 1977 to 2019., The LPR is a dynamic register that has been continuously updated – even retrospectively. Statistics Denmark has the updated versions of all LPR tables for the years 2005-2019., For hospital admissions to somatic departments, the register dates back to 1977. Emergency room and outpatient contacts have been registered since 1994. Hospital admissions to psychiatric departments have been registered since 1995. Hospital admissions to private hospitals have been registered since 2002., For documentation, see eSundhed.dk: , Documentation of LPR2 (in Danish), For information on data and data breaks (Data from other sources and data breaks in LPR2), see below:, Rates:, DRG and DAGS are not part of LPR, but can be linked to the individual admission and contact via the admission ID (recnum). Research Services has rates from 2002 to 2018., Non-finalised hospital admissions / out-patient contacts (UAF_):, The non-finalised outpatient admissions exist in the LPR that Statistics Denmark has available for the years 1994 onwards., LPR clean-up:, Up to and including 2009, The Danish Health Data Authority made an LPR clean-up, consisting in: , Sorting out all departments with special codes in the range 60-69, Sorting out all healthy companions, DZ763, Sorting out individual departments, for example departments with names such as ’Forskningsafdeling’ (research department)., Other data break, There may be other data breaks that we are unaware of., LPR3_F (researcher-oriented LPR3 data model), Statistics Denmark has LPR3_F data from the Danish Health Data Authority for the years 2019-2021, which can be ordered. Access to data is governed by the Danish Archives Act, which is why there is a special application process for data from the Danish National Archives. This means that all researchers who are active on the project must have permission from the Danish National Archives. If data includes personal data, the National Archives must obtain consent for the permission from the Danish Data Protection Agency before the personal data may be disclosed. If data is less than 20 years old, the National Archives must also obtain consent for the permission from the authority that originally collected the data., The multi-generation register – Lite, The multi-generation register – Lite (MGR-lite) contains family relations for all Danish citizens born around 1953 or later. This means that it contains family relations from 7 years prior to those of the Civil Registration System (CPR). Until 1978, the Civil Registration System deleted information on family relations when an individual turned 18 years, but the National Archives have maintained snapshots of the Civil Registration System from e.g. 1968, 1969 and 2013, which in MGR-lite have been used to recreate family relations back to 1953., If you need data from MGR-lite for a research project, note that all participants in the project must obtain permission from the Danish National Archives, and that the National Archives must obtain consent from the Danish Data Protection Agency and the CPR registry, before data may be disclosed for the research project. Accordingly, you should expect a processing time of at least 1-3 months., You can apply for access to data from MGR-lite via Denmark’s Data Portal., Read more about access to data in Denmark’s Data Portal, You can find more information on MGR-lite at the Danish National Archives (in Danish), Contact , Researcher Service at the National Archives, if you have further questions., Ordering data from the Danish National Archives via Denmark’s Data Portal, It is possible to request data from the National Archives via Denmark’s Data Portal. In addition to Statistics Denmark, the National Archives must also approve the project proposal, which is why there is a different procedure for project proposals where this data has been opted for. Please note that this may increase the processing time by 1-3 months., Basic principles for requesting data from the Danish National Archives, Data relevance and data minimisation, The statement of the purpose of data must be specific, precise and easy-to-understand., The combination of register units and types of populations must be justified., Additional data must also be covered in terms of relevance to society/purpose/description., The proposal must constitute the project overview, while the appendix holds the details, It must be possible to read the proposal and the appendix both separately and as coherent documentation of a project., The proposal is also sent to the Danish National Archives for approval, This means that the institution administrator or contact person with powers will be asked to enter the following information for each researcher associated with the project. Civil registration number, address, city and postal code., Requesting data from the National Archives, Complete the project proposal in Denmark’s Data Portal:, Start by filling in the purpose of the project proposal, description and relevance to society. Data from the National Archives is selected in the same way as data from other registers., Adding the Danish National Archives as an external authorising authority:, When Research Services has approved the project proposal, the institution administrator or contact person with powers must send it to the National Archives for further approval. This is done from the project proposal page by selecting the button ‘Submit to external authority’., Enter necessary information for the Danish National Archives:, When the project proposal is to be submitted to the National Archives, the institution administrator or contact person with powers will be asked to enter the following information for each researcher associated with the project: Civil registration number, address, city and postal code. This must be done for all researchers all at once. This information is necessary, as the National Archives have their separate principles and requirements. This information is not saved in Denmark’s Data Portal for GDPR reasons. If you break off while entering information, you will thus need to enter the information again., Await approval from the National Archives:, After the project proposal has been submitted to the National Archives, its status will be ‘Pending external authority’ in Denmark’s Data Portal. The National Archives will review the project proposal and send you either an approval or a rejection via e-boks., Handling of approval:, When a researcher receives approval in e-boks, he or she also receives a document that must be signed before the data can be delivered. Note that all researchers associated with the project must sign., When each researcher has received and signed the approval, an administrator or contact person with powers must mark this in the project proposal. This is done by clicking ’…’ at the top of the project proposal page. Pay attention to the fact that all researchers must be marked all at once when they have signed the approval., After this, the project proposal can be sent for signature with the signatory of the institution. When all researchers have been marked as approved and ‘Send for signature’ has been selected in the dialogue box, the status of the project changes from ‘Submitted to external authority’ to ‘Approved by external authority’. Now the institution’s signatory can sign the document, and the project is approved. The Danish National Archives and Statistics Denmark will provide data for the project., If the institution’s signatory refuses to sign, the project proposal is returned and the process must be repeated., Handling rejections, If a project receives a negative response, there are three options:, Remove the project access for the researcher(s) who received a negative response. Access the project page and remove the researchers who have received a negative response. When the researchers are removed, an email will be sent from Denmark’s Data Portal to the National Archives notifying them that the researchers are removed from the project. Subsequently, the National Archives will be able to assign data to the project., Withdraw the project proposal if it could not obtain approval from the National Archives. When the project proposal has status as ‘Submitted to external authority’, administrator and contact person have an option to “withdraw” it. In that case, the project proposal will get a new status ‘Pending revision’. When the project proposal has status as ‘Submitted to external authority’ and it is withdrawn, Denmark’s Data Portal will send an email to the National Archives notifying them that the project proposal has been withdrawn. Revise the original project proposal and resubmit it for approval. It is important to note that the project proposal also must be re-approved by Statistics Denmark., Withdraw the project proposal, remove the National Archives register and resubmit the project proposal for approval., In this scenario, only Statistics Denmark has to re-approve., Adding new users to the project after creation, To add a new user after both Statistics Denmark and the National Archives have approved the project, the institution administrator or contact person with powers must go to ‘Project access’, click ‘Add’ and select the person to be added. A window is opened where the researcher’s civil registration number, address, city and postal code must be entered. When the researcher has received approval in e-boks, the institution administrator or contact person with powers can give access to the project. This is done by selecting ’…’ next to the project access and then select ’Confirm approval from external authority’., National Agency for IT and Learning (STIL), Statistics Denmark has made an agreement with the National Agency for IT and Learning (STIL) on access to central registers from the STIL statistical resources under Statistics Denmark’s microdata schemes. Research projects that are to use data from the comprehensive STIL registers can gain access via Statistics Denmark Research Services., Elevfravær i grundskolen, contains information about the number of days pupils in primary and lower secondary school are absent due to illness, absent with permission and absent without permission on a monthly basis., Den nationale trivselsmåling i grundskolen for 0.-3. klasse, contains replies to questions from the question frame for pupils in primary school, which is part of the national survey of the well-being of schoolchildren., Den nationale trivselsmåling i grundskolen for 4.-9. klasse, contains replies to questions from the question frame for pupils in secondary school, which is part of the national survey of the well-being of schoolchildren. It is a survey of the lives, expectations and desires for the future of 50-89-year-old citizens for the reference years 2010, 2015, and 2021, and subsequently every fifth reference year., In our , register overview (in Danish), , you can see the content of variables in the register. It is described in more detail in the documentation below., The presentation of 2021 data contains background variables bought-in by the senior citizen organisation (Ældre Sagen) in connection with completion of the future study (as of 1 October 2021). The variables pertain to sex, age, highest educational attainment level, socio-economic status, equivalent disposable income for the family, ancestry, municipality and the composition of the family calculated in DST Survey., The bought-in background variables are presented in the register FREMTIDSSTUDIET as at the time of the study in 2021 and are not changed, even though corrections are being made retrospectively in Research Services’ basic data for the affected areas. Updated background variables thus require further bought-in variables from Research Services., On the future study, The future study is a longitudinal study, the purpose of which it is to draw a picture of the present and future lives of elderly citizens and their life situation in general – including their desires, needs, expectations and worries about the future., The study from 2021 is based on answers from 4,990 Danish citizens aged 50 to 89 years to questions revolving around: quality of life, age, health, accommodation, transport, social network, help in everyday life, financial help, loneliness, home care, dignity, welfare and society, volunteering, the labour market, financial circumstances, inheritance, age discrimination and technology., The future study has previously been completed in 2010 and 2015. Input-output

The tables show the correlations between imports, production and use in the economy by an organised array of detailed economic statistics from the national accounts. Supplemented with certain assumptions, the tables allow modeling of correlations in the economy that are not directly shown in the national accounts. , Introduction, Tables of this kind have been used off and on in Denmark since the 1930s. With the national accounts’ current definitions, input-output tables have been prepared for all years starting in 1966 at current prices as well as previous year's prices. It should be noted, however, that the tables regarding 1966-1982 have been repeatedly subjected to  backward calculations as a result of new methods and classifications, but the tables from 1993 to 2004 have only been subject to a single backward calculation as a result of the data and methods revision in 2014. For each year from 2005 onwards, the presentation of current prices is based on product balances, while the same applies to the previous year's prices for the years 2008 onwards., From the national accounts’ approx. 2,350 product balances, a table is created that demonstrates, in monetary terms, how goods and services in the economy have been flowing between supply and demand. On the supply side, the trades and industries, imports and other primary inputs are shown, including the remuneration of employees, while the demand side is made up of the trades and industries and the final demands, including private consumption and exports. The table is presented in basic prices, including customs duties on imports, though. This is the level where the greatest homogeneity between values and volumes is found., The input-output tables form the basis for the compilation of the input-output models. By using these models, it is possible to analyse both direct and indirect effects on employment, for example, energy consumption or gross value added attributable to changes in demand. Another important use is the so-called structural breakdown analyses which can help to reveal how much each factor has contributed to the development of different variables, including, for example, CO2 emissions or employment., Documentation, Information / Contact:, Peter Rørmose Jensen, + 45 40 13 51 26, Danish annual Input-Output tables, The Danish Input-output tables are now available in two different series. The original series from 1966-2015 is presented in the most detailed classification available based on the annual supply-use tables. A new series from 1966-2017 is somewhat more aggregated, which, allows the series to be extended to 2017 by forecasting the 2015 tables on the basis of already published national accounts totals. Data can be obtained in two different ways., 1) Go to , www.statbank.dk, - National Accounts and government finance - InputOutput tables , 2) From the tab “Data” on this page, from where files in Excel, GAUSS, GAMS and SAS formats, can be downloaded. PDF documents with table of contents of the files can be downloaded from this page. , IO Tables of content, Table of content, 117 industries, English, Table of content, 117 brancher, Dansk, Table of content, 69 industries, English, Table of content, 69 brancher, Dansk,  , NEWS,  , June 30, , 2021,  , Today the series of final IO-tables with 117 industries has been supplemented with data for the year 2018. Also, the series of input output tables with 69 industries has been updated , with data for the year 2018 as well as preliminary version of the tables for 2019. The reason that the 2020 table has not been published is the decision not to publish any part of the national accounts for 2020 at a more detailed level than 21 industries. So instead of making a 21*21 input-output table for 2020 the publication of a first preliminary table for 202 has been postponed until June 2022.   ,  , December 3, , 2020,  , Today the 2017 version of the input-output tables with 69 industries has been updated. Due to a mistake, only 2018 and 2019 was updates on October 2, 2020., As from today the 69 industry version is fully compatible with the 117 industry version for 2017, which has not been the case since October 2. ,  , October 2, 2020, Today the series of final IO-tables with 117 industries has been supplemented with data for the year 2017. Also, the series of input output tables with 69 industries has been updated with data for the year 2017 as well as preliminary versions of the tables for 2017 and 2018.,  , November 7, 2019,  , Today the series of final IO-tables with 117 industries has been supplemented with data for the year 2016. Also, the series of input output tables with 69 industries has been updated with data for the year 2016 as well as preliminary versions of the tables for 2017 and 2018., November 15, 2018, Today the input-output table for 2008-2009 in previous years prices have been updated. The update, takes care of a minor error in Government Consumption in previous years prices.,  , November 7, 2018, Today the series of final 117 industry IO- tables has been supplemented with data for the year 2015. This is the standard annual update alongside with the update of the national accounts for 2015. At the same time the series of 69 industries has been updated to cover all the years from 1966 to 2017., Starting from the present dissemination of the 69-industry tables it has been decided to reduce the number of gross fixed capital formation assets from 12 to 7. Thus the two following sums has been added , “ICT equipment, other machinery and equipment and weapon systems” which replaces the three formergroups, Computer hardware, Telecommunication equipment, Other machinery and equipment and weapon systems, “Intellectual property products” which replaces the four formergroups , Research and development, Mineral exploration and evaluation, Computer software and databases, Entertainment, literary or artistic originals and other intellectual property products, This change has brought the dissemination of the input-output tables in line with the national accounts where gross fixed capital formation by 69 industries is disseminated in the table NABK69., The full dimension of the gross fixed capital formation table can still be found in the 117-industry tables covering the years from 1966 through 2015. , At the same time the Gross Value Added (BVT på dansk) section of Excel versions of the tables have been revised because some labels as well as data had been messed up.  , April 5, 2018, Today the series of full sized IO- tables has been supplemented with the complete data for 2014 following the full release of the National Accounts for 2014 which now include wages, employment and hours worked at the most detailed industry level., The input-output table for 2014-2016 in the 69-industries series has also been updated.,  , February 15, 2018, Today the English text for the two COICOP groups in household consumption 04401 and 04402 has been changed. , By mistake the text related to those two numbers was mixed up in the Excel files with English text as well as in the English , PDF-file describing the contents of the matrices. The correct connection between codes and text is, 24  04401 Water supply and sewerage services, 25  04402  Refuse collection, other services n.e.c.,  , November 15, 2017, Today the input-output table for 2014-2015 in the 69-industries series has been updated. The update concerns the split of Gross Value Added between , Wages and Gross Operating Surplus. Data has been changed in order to comply with other national accounts tables. ,  ,  , November 7, 2017, Today the series of full sized IO- tables has been supplemented with data for 2014. Due to a delay in the update of wages, employment and hours worked by detailed industry for 2014, Gross Valued Added in current prices is shown only as a total and not split in its components. For the same reason employment and hours worked are not shown for 2014. This will be brought back to normal when the missing data will be supplied I march 2018., The delay has consequences for the forecasted tables at the 69 industry level as well. Here the same solution as described above is applied for the year 2016. In Statbank.dk some data on  employment, and hours worked are shown at a more aggregated level., Finally, the entire series of Excel sheets from 1966 to 2014 has been updated due to a  mistake in the presentation of the detailed household consumption figures in previous years prices., March 17, 2017, Today the input-output tables in the (69 industries) series has been updated for the entire period 1966-2015. The update is caused by an error in the key used for aggregation of a few of the detailed groups of household consumption from the 74 groups level to the 43 groups level., January 17, 2017, Today the table NIO3 holding GVA (Gross Value Added) figures has been changed for 2015 in current prices in the Statbank due to an error. It has been corrected in the Excel, SAS, GAMS and GAUSS files as well. , November 23, 2016, In the new series of input-output tables at the 69 industry level, the two preliminary years 2014 and 2015  been updated on November 23, 2016. The calculation of the two years now builds upon the latest available version of all national accounts totals which was not true for all variables at the time of publication Novembe 15, 2016., November 15, 2016,  , Today a revised version of the Danish national accounts 1966 through 2015 has been released. Revised figures for the Danish Balance of Payments 2002-2015 has been implemented along with new figures for government individual consumption, employment and a few other items. On top of that comes the ordinary update of data for 2013 through 2015 following the availability of new and updated sources., The input-output tables have been revised in order to reflect those changes in the national accounts. Moreover, the revenue from foreign tourists in Denmark shown in the exports column has been fully aligned with the mirror of this number appearing in the household consumption with opposite sign. By a mistake this was not the case in the previous version of the tables., The input-output tables has been released in the usual full 117 industry classification from 1966 through 2013 as well as in the new series of input-output tables covering 69 industries with forecasted versions of 2014 and 2015.,  , July 8, 2016,  , Today a new compilation of the input-output consistent investment matrices has been made available. These matrices add an extra dimension to the investment columns in the input-output tables. Thus for each of the investment columns in the Io-table, the investment matrices shows the supply from 117 industries of the particular investment by the 69 investing industries. The matrices are now available for the period 2008-2012 in current and previous year’s prices and can be downloaded in Excel format. GAUSS, GAMS and SAS formats will be made available for download shortly. ,  , July 5, 2016,  , The Excel version of the new set of matrices (69 industries) have all been replaced today due to a problem with the texts related to a few industries. Thus the industries 84101, 84202, 85101, 85202 were listed in the true numerical order as they are here. They should, however, have been listed in the order 84202, 84101, 85202, 85101. This is the official ordering used for other tables at the 69-industry level. This mistake only concerns the texts and NOT the data, which were already in the right ordering., Furthermore, a small mistake for the years 2013 and 2014 was discovered. Thus the cell containing deliveries from industry 68203 to household consumption “042 Imputed rentals for housing” was zero and the corresponding row and column sums similarly lower. Today the right number have been put in the cells in 2013 and 2014, and the corresponding row and column totals adjusted accordingly., June 30, 2016,  , Today we have published a new series of input-output tables which is more up-to-date than the existing series. It covers the period from 1966 through 2014. Thus, two years of preliminary data have been added. The extension of the series is made at the expense of some of the detail in the original series. Thus, only 69 industries are covered compared to the original 117. The number of final demand categories is also more limited. The years 2013 and 2014 are forecasted based on 2012 and the published national accounts totals for 2013 and 2014. Data covering those two years will therefore be revised in November 2016 and 2015 will be added as a the newest preliminary year in line with the national accounts publication strategy. , June 07, 2016, The Excel version of the input-output tables for 1967-2007 in previous years prices has been corrected today. In the sheet DCB containing the detailed classification of household consumption by delivering industry the data in the columns were not in full agreement with the headings. ,  , November 19, 2015, Input-output tables for 2012 in current and previous years prices are now available for download in Excel and GAUSS formats. Files in GAMS and SAS formats will be available later today. ,  , August 10, 2015, Today, almost all of the downloadable files has been updated., The first update concerns only previous years matrices. For the years 1967 - 2007, the three files sg, sc and se were by mistake set equal to the current price versions g, c and e. Furthermore, all of the coefficient matrices in previous years prices were calculated by division with these wrong values of the column totals. The result was that the columns of the coefficient matrices did not sum to one. The good thing, however, was that when the erroneous coefficient matrices were multiplied by the also erroneous column totals the correct matrices in levels were obtained. Consequently, the Excel files has not suffered from the error., A minor correction has been made to the components of Gross Value Added in the years 2005 – 2011 in current prices. By a mistake Other taxes on production and Compensation of employees contained were set equal to the 2011 value in all years from 2005 to 2011. Therefore, Gross surplus and mixed income, which is calculated as a residual, contained an error as well. This applies to all file formats., Last change is some improvement to the layout of the Excel files which applies to all years. Between intermediate consumption and final demand a column has been added containing the row sums by industry of intermediate consumtion.   , November 28, 2014, Today a revised version of the Input-output tables has been released. The revision covers all years from 1966 through 2011. By a mistake, a major part of investment in machinery was initially added to investment in telecommunications. Thus, the revision is a simple relocation of the major part of  investment in telecommunication  to investment in machinery, and consequently all other numbers in the tables are left untouched., November 6, 2014, Input-output tables for 2011 in current and previous years prices are now available for download in Excel, GAUSS, GAMS and SAS formats., September 28, 2014, The full set of input-output tables in current and previous years prices covering the period 1966-2010 is now ready for download. Apart from the addition of previous years prices 1967-2007 the new set includes revised tables in current prices for the period 1966-1974as an error was discovered. The error concerned inventory changes and exports from the energy producing industries 060000, 190000, 350010, 350020 and 350030. But the updating procedure has consequently affected most other cells in the tables. , September 22, 2014, As from today the full series of tables from 1966 to 2010 in current prices are available for download. This is in agreement with the PDF-files describing the content of the tables. For all formats there are also the usual files containing the number of people on leave of absence that can be deducted from the employment figures in order to obtain “Employment, excl. people on leave of absence”. , August 20, 2013, Once more a new version of the tables have been posted.  The figures for Renting of residential buildings, Owner-occupied dwellings and Renting of non-residential buildings were still not listed in the correct order. , August 15, 2013 , In the files that were published July, 1, the hours worked, employment and leave of absence were presented in the wrong order for 7 industries. As the Danish national accounts will not be published according to SNA 2010 and ESA 2014 until September 2014, there will be some inconsistencies between the energy accounts and the national accounts and input-output tables at the most detailed level of classification of industries. However, at the most aggregated level (10a3) consistency is generally found, except for the monetary energy accounts for which minor deviations from the national accounts figures can be found., With the revision of the energy accounts a new allocation of the production of electricity and district heat has been introduced. Electricity is now produced by "350010 Production and distribution of electricity" and by "383900 Waste management and materials recovery " District heat is produced by "350010 Production and distribution of electricity", "350030 Steam and hot water supply" and by "383900 Waste management and materials recovery"., November 23 - 2012, Data for the year 2011 is now available., December 16 - 2011, Data for the year 2010 is now available., September 15 - 2011, As a consequence of the introduction of the Danish Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities 2007 (DB07), a new national accounts industry classification has been developed.
