Now specific documentations of statistics can be found under the subject page Environmental-Economic Accounts., Statistical presentation, The environmental accounts contain information on a) Material flows in the form of the the weight of Danish resource extraction, import and exports, b) Air emissions of different substances (CO2, N2O, CH4, PFC, HFC, SF6, NOx, NMVOC, CO, PM10, PM2.5, SO2, NH3), c) Public expenditure and revenue on the environment as well as d) Environmental related taxes etc., The definitions used in the environmental accounts ensures that the information immediately can be used for analyses of the interaction between the economic activities and e.g. air emissions of some of the above-mentioned substances., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, Emission accounts are compiled taking energy accounts as a starting point for the emissions caused by the use of energy. Emissions caused by other factors than energy use are added subsequently and distributed among the relevant industries. , Tax revenues are broken down by industries on the basis of detailed information from National Accounts., Material Flow Accounts are compiled on the basis of internal and external sources on resource extraction., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, Environmental Accounts are relevant for those interested in the correlation between the economy on the one side and environment and natural resources on the other side. Ministries and consultant firms are among the main users of environmental accounts. Accounts are included in the overall European environmental accounts, collected and compiled by Eurostat., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, Figures on statistical uncertainty have not been estimated., Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, Data is normally published without delays., Read more about timeliness and punctuality, Comparability, The industry classification in the tables is the same as the one used in the national accounts. The tables can therefore be compared to other statistics based on the industry classification. Accounts are compiled in form of time series. For example accounts for air emissions are available for each year from 1990 until the last year that is published. Accounts are consistent and fully comparable within these years. On the more aggregated level (NACE 64), the Danish accounts are comparable with accounts of other EU countries compiled according to the Regulation no. 691/2011 on European environmental economic accounts., Read more about comparability, Accessibility and clarity, Environmental-economic accounts, Read more about accessibility and clarity

High growth enterprise as well as Gazelles were at that time measured. However, later the statistics was limited to only include Gazelles. The purpose of the statistics "Gazelles in Denmark" is to illustrate the development in the number of gazelles and jobs created in the growth period., Statistical presentation, The statistics counts yearly the number of gazelles in Denmark, as well as jobs created in the growth period. In addition the turnover at the beginning and end of the growth period is available., The growth indicator is the number of employees. The number of employees is converted into full-time equivalents (FTEs). The number of FTEs is used as a measure of the total amount of work performed by the gazelles employees during the year in question., The statistics covers only Non-Agricultural Private Sector., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, The statistics are based on the Business demography statistics and the information regarding surviving firms up to 5 years old. The information of survival is used to the delimitation of the population to be measured. The enterprise's development in number of full-time employment is measured from start to end of the growth period., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, The statistics is used by ministries and governmental agencies, regional and county authorities as well as private sector institutions and enterprises. Number of gazelles in Denmark is used in analysis of the development of young high-growth enterprises (gazelles). Moreover, it illustrates the creation of new jobs amongst these enterprises in the growth period. No user satisfaction is collected., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, There exist a certain uncertainty regarding the identification of real new enterprises in the statistics of business demography, which the statistics Gazelles is based on. If the Business Demography has identified new administrative units incorrectly in relation to whether they are really new, it can affect the start population for these statistics, and thus the companies that have the opportunity to become new high-growth companies., Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, The statistics is available with final figures around 18 months after the end of the reference year. Documentation of statistics: Multiplier Tables

Contact info, National Accounts, Climate and Environment, Economic Statistics , Peter Rørmose Jensen , +45 40 13 51 26 , PRJ@dst.dk , Get documentation of statistics as pdf, Multiplier Tables 2022 , Previous versions, Multiplier Tables 2019, Multiplier Tables 2018, Multiplier Tables 2017, Multiplier Tables 2016, Economic multipliers measure the effect on e.g. production, income or employment at a detailed industry level, following a 1 million DKK "shock" to final use in an industry or in a final use category. Multipliers are not statistics in the traditional sense but may be termed more correctly as model calculations. As it is not entirely uncomplicated to calculate multipliers, a collection of the most used multipliers are made available for download this way. The statistics is a resume - now in electronic form - of the publication , Danish input-output tables and analyses, , that was published annually in a period up until 2011. , Statistical presentation, The tables contain a variety of multipliers, which can be considered a tool for assessing the impact of various "shocks" on demand. The tables are divided into three groups, production multipliers, employment multipliers and input multipliers. Each of these three groups is further subdivided into whether it is a shock to the demand in a particular industry or in a specific final use. In each table, it is also possible to further choose which type of multiplier you want to work with or what kind of employment you find most interesting. The multipliers are used when, for example, one wants to assess the effects of a possible shock to the demand. By multiplying a multiplier with the size of the shock, one can assess what effects it will have on production, employment, etc., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, The multiplier tables are based on already published data from Statistics Denmark, so the primary contribution that comes from these statistics is the statistical treatment of the basic material, which is done as a service for the users. Treatment is most easily done with software dedicated to the task and consists in working with data in matrix format and the use of certain matrix formulas picked up from the literature. One of the most important elements of the calculations is the compilation of the inverted matrix of inputs into the production - the so-called Leontief inverse matrix., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, The multiplier tables are relevant for all those who would like to be able to calculate a general estimate of the effects on variables such as production, employment, imports etc.. when demand increases in an industry or one final use. It is an obvious choice for people who need to prepare and assess various policy initiatives who can use the multipliers to get an initial estimate of policy implications for key economic variables., The multiplier tables are ready to use and requires no prior knowledge of input-output modeling., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, The multipliers are the result of model calculations, which are based on national accounting statistics and input-output tables. In each section, polls and adjustments are made under assumptions, which together mean that the calculation process builds some uncertainty about the figures. At the most detailed level, therefore, one can not necessarily expect the results to be accurate representations of reality. Conclusions from the tables should be drawn with some caution, taking account of the uncertainties that may arise in the various stages of the process., Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, The multipliers that build upon the national accounts input-output tables are published simultaneously with the final version of the national accounts approximately 30 months after the end of the reference year. Despite the fact that the numbers are 30 month old when published it is assessed that the degree of actuality in the numbers is quite high. The multipliers represent economic structures that changes quite slowly and therefore the numbers do not need to be as new and recent as numbers representing the state of the market economy. , Read more about timeliness and punctuality, Comparability, The input-output tables that make up the source for the multiplier statistics are fully coherent with the national accounts which makes the multipliers coherent as well. The classification of industries and final use categories are concurrent. The multipliers are published for the most recent final year of the national accounts because multipliers in current prices are not comparable over time. To the extent that similar multipliers are calculated in other countries a high degree of comparability can be expected., Read more about comparability, Accessibility and clarity, The statistics is published in the , Statbank, ., Read more about accessibility and clarity

Here, data for the circulation of goods and services, between Denmark and abroad, enterprises and final consumption are organized in a way that enables full balancing. A number of national accounts variables, including GDP, are published from here. The tables are used to compile input-output tables, which detail the relationships between production, imports and uses in the economy. Conversion to an input-output model enables calculations of multiplier effects, which are indirect relationships in the economy., Statistical presentation, Supply‑use and input‑output tables describe how goods and services are produced, imported and used in the economy. They balance supply and demand and form the basis for GDP calculations. The system covers about 2,350 products and 117 industries and provides detailed breakdowns of consumption, investment and exports. Input‑output tables enable analysis of direct and indirect economic effects and support modelling and environmental‑economic studies., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, The supply and use tables are compiled from a wide range of sources that have been collected by Statistics Denmark, including accounting statistics and foreign trade statistics. When source data are inserted into the framework, extensive validation, error correction and adaptation to the national accounts definitions are carried out. Data are reconciled to full consistency using both automatic and manual methods. Input-output tables are compiled on the basis of the supply and use tables based on international guidelines. Upon receipt, Eurostat thoroughly checks the data again., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, Supply‑use tables are mainly used by Statistics Denmark to calculate GDP and other key indicators and to construct input‑output tables. A few external users access them via Research Services, but the most detailed tables are not published due to confidentiality. Input‑output tables support detailed analyses of economic structures, policy impacts and environmental effects and are central to models such as ADAM, MAKRO and Green Reform. Data comply with ENS2010., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, Supply, use and input-output tables are based on extensive primary data that are checked for errors and reconciled to ensure high precision and consistency, especially in the GDP calculation. Provisional tables are less reliable due to incomplete sources. The necessary central model assumption in compiling input-output tables may lead to some minor over- and under-estimations. Quality is ensured through ongoing checks, audits and compliance with international standards., Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, The input-output tables are released once every year at the same time as the final national accounts. The time of release is 2.5 years after the end of the reference year., Read more about timeliness and punctuality, Comparability, In an international perspective the comparability between Danish and foreign input-output tables is generally good, but not quite as good as in the case of national accounts itself. This is due to the fact that there is an important assumption to be made and this assumption may vary between countries. However, within the framework of the ESA2010 manual it is tried to secure comparability between EU-countries., Read more about comparability, Accessibility and clarity, National accounts and input-output data is disseminated in the , Statbank, and the , input-output subject page, where data can be downloaded in various file formats.
