A vocational education is a youth education which gives the student a vocational qualification. Vocational education statistics is in its current form comparable since 2005 and is part of the overall Student Register, which contains information on all students and students in ordinary education in Denmark., Statistical presentation, These statistics contains yearly estimates of on the activity on vocational educations in Denmark. This includes the number of entrants, the number of completed and the number of active students. The statistics are divided by education and enrolment type, and the students' age, sex, ancestry and national origin., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, The data for the statistics is collected yearly in October from the administrative systems of the educational institutions. Data is adjusted into the format used in the Student Register. In cooperation with the National Agency for It and Learning, Statistics Denmark has set guidelines for this conversion, since the conversion depends on the type of student. Data is validated at both macro and micro level, where fluctuations in the number of students across time are controlled for errors and irregularities at the individual level, for example overlap between educations, are corrected., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, The statistics are relevant for public administrators, scientists and other analysts, journalists and citizens etc. as basis for prognoses, analyses and planning purposes in the educational field, but also for example in the labour market field and the integration field. The basic data for the statistics are used as background data for most of the personal statistics at Statistics Denmark, and it is the basis for the tables in StatBank Denmark about education. , Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, The administrative systems that are the basis for the statistics are used by the institutions for their own daily administration of the pupils and also for the payment of different economic grants. Correct registers are therefore necessary for the economy of the institutions and contributes to an expected high quality of the data source. The vocational education field is a field with many different ways to get an education, which creates more possibilities for incorrect registrations e.g. wrong registrations of the students on the institutions or errors in the conversion to the correct format., Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, The statistics are published about 4 months after the reference time, which is 1 October. Publications are released on time, as stated in the release calendar., Read more about timeliness and punctuality, Comparability, The current time series of these statistics goes back to 2005, but statistics on vocational education have been made further back than this. Vocational education reforms can be a challenge when comparing figures over time. Furthermore, it may be difficult to compare the figures internationally, as vocational training is defined differently from country to country., Read more about comparability, Accessibility and clarity, In the StatBank, these statistics can be found under the subject , Upper secondary education, . Not all data are fully comparable across the two years due to changes in data sources and introduction of new methods., Statistical presentation, The accounts present information about flows of natural resources, goods and residuals (waste and emissions to air, etc.) measured as tonnes per year. The accounts include all type of materials, which are used or supplied. , The flows are recorded by industries and other categories, e.g. extraction from nature, imports, exports, private and government consumption, emissions to the environment, etc. , The accounts are balanced, which means that the quantity of materials used by an industry equals the quantity of materials, that leaves the industry as sold products and residuals. , Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, The accounts are based on several sources, for instance, International Trade in Goods, Purchases by Manufacturing Industries, National accounts, and Environmental-Economic Accounts supplemented by data from e.g. the Danish Environmental Protection Agency and websites and organizations and companies., The primary data are processed and supplemented by estimations and allocations, after which they are organised in a so-called physical supply-use table. Finally, this table is adjusted in such a way that supply equals use., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, The accounts are of relevance to all, who are interested in information about those physical material flows that take place in relation to the Danish economy. It can be used as a basis for analysis of the circular economy, e.g. for analysis of which industries that use or produce certain types of materials. , Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, In general it can be assumed that there are less uncertainties associated with data obtained directly from primary statistics, while data that results from estimations and allocations will be associated with more uncertainties. , The balancing item, which is represented in the accounts, is to some extent a result of inaccuracies related to other items in the accounts. However, it cannot directly be used as a measure of the uncertainties, since it may also reflect other special relations., No estimations of the magnitude of the uncertainties have been made. , Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, The accounts for 2020 have been published 4 years and three months after the end of the reference year (2020). The accounts are published without delay compared to the announced time of publication in the release calendar., Read more about timeliness and punctuality, Comparability, The accounts are available for 2020 and 2018, and in an earlier version for 2016. The versions are not fully comparable due to changes in source data and methods. , This type of accounts is - as far as we know - only available for the Denmark and the Netherlands, but with different classifications. Thus, it is not possible to make direct international comparisons. , For certain items it is possible to compare over time and with other countries by looking at the primary data that lie behind the accounts., Read more about comparability, Accessibility and clarity, These statistics are published in the StatBank under the subject , Detailed material flow accounts, . The detailed property tax statistics has existed since 1937. Before 1937, property tax statistics was also published statistics on property taxation, albeit at a more aggregated basis. The current form of the statistics is comparable from 2007 and onwards., Statistical presentation, The statistics are a yearly overview of the Danish property taxation. The statistics show the distribution of property taxes to municipalities as well as type of tax (land tax and reimbursement duties). A weighted average is calculated for each region and the entire country. The statistics are published in the StatBank. , Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, The statistics is based on data from the Danish Customs and Tax Administration. Documentation of statistics: Environmental Multiplier Tables

Contact info, National Accounts, Climate and Environment, Economic Statistics , Peter Rørmose Jensen , +45 40 13 51 26 , PRJ@dst.dk , Get documentation of statistics as pdf, Environmental Multiplier Tables 2023 , Previous versions, Environmental Multiplier Tables 2022, Environmental Multiplier Tables 2021, Environmental Multiplier Tables 2020, Environmental Multiplier Tables 2019, Environmental Multiplier Tables 2018, Environmental Multiplier Tables 2017, Dissemination of environmental multipliers is a service for users interested in the interaction between the environment and the economy. The multipliers connect environmental statistics with national accounts statistics at a detailed level and provides a picture of the effects that changes in economic final demand have on selected environmental variables. The environmental multipliers are aggregated measures of the total environmental effect on industries of specific changes in final demand in terms of waste generation, water consumption, generation of waste, CO2 emissions or other impacts., Statistical presentation, The environmental multiplier tables are organized in the following way. Firstly, they contain a reproduction of certain environmental data, which are also found in the Green National Accounts. Secondly, they contain an estimate of some direct effects calculated as the relative share between the same environmental data by industry and and central national accounts variables, typically total output by industry. Finally, the tables contain direct effects (in one industry) and indirect effects (all involved industries) of various types of final demand calculated with an input-output model., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, This statistics is based on two already published sources, namely the green national accounts and input-output tables. Thus, data was not collected specifically for this statistic. Certain parts of the two sources are reproduced in the tables, but the primary contribution lie in the use of an input-output model that contains both physical environmental data and economic national accounts data in the form of input-output tables. This hybrid model is used in various configurations to calculate so-called indirect (multiplier) effects., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, Users are, in principle, all who are interested in the extent to which different types of demand (consumption, investment, exports) have an impact on the environment (e.g. CO2 emissions, water consumption or waste) and in which industries the direct effect appears and which derived effects appears other industries. The tables thus link environmental issues with aspects of economic development and should therefore be of interest to users working with integrated planning of economic and environmental development., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, The multipliers are the result of model calculations, which are based on national accounting statistics and input-output tables. In each section, polls and adjustments are made under assumptions, which together mean that the calculation process builds some uncertainty about the figures. At the most detailed level, therefore, one can not necessarily expect the results to be accurate representations of reality. Conclusions from the tables should be drawn with some caution, taking account of the uncertainties that may arise in the various stages of the process., Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, The tables have so far been published punctually in relation to the pre-announced release date. The multiplier tables, based on the energy accounts, are published for the first time approx. 6 months after the end of the reference year, while the emission multipliers are published in the first version approx. 10 months after the end of the reference year. Final figures are published at the same time as the national accounts become final, approx. 36 months after the end of the reference year., Read more about timeliness and punctuality, Comparability, The statistics are fully comparable over time. The two source statistics are both consistent over time. Multipliers are calculated at constant prices, which is necessary to get a correct impression of the development in an economic time series. This is not statutory statistics, but to the extent that other countries have produced a similar statistic, the results should be fully comparable, as it is known as internationally known source data and calculation methods., Read more about comparability, Accessibility and clarity, Data is only disseminated in the StatBank under , Green National Accounts, , and statistics are not reported to international bodies. There are so far no publications related to it., Read more about accessibility and clarity

The statistics establishes a link between public expenditure and revenue and public environmental protection activities. The statistics are used, inter alia, in relation to political decisions in the environmental field, environmental economic analyses and international comparisons of the various EU countries' environmental efforts. The statics date back to 1995. , Statistical presentation, The statistics is an annual measurement and consist of three focus areas: environmental protection, green taxes and environmental subsidies. In conjunction with a number of international classifications, these focus areas form the framework for the link between public expenditure and revenues and the public environmental protection activities. The focus areas of the statistics are also linked to a description of the public sector as a sector consisting of state, municipalities, regions and public corporations., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, The data sources for this statistics consist of accounts from state, municipalities, regions and public corporations that are coded for national accounts based on the manual of the European National Accounting System (ESA2010) and stored in the database DIOR (Database for Integrated Public Accounts). Based on thorough analyses, a list of criteria is drafted, which determines which account items are to be drawn from DIOR in order to compile the statistics. The selected account items are sorted and aggregated according to environmental purposes and categories, real-economic type and sector., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, The figures in these statistics are relevant, among other things, in connection with political decisions in the environmental field, environmental economic analyses and international comparisons of the individual EU countries' environmental efforts. The most obvious users of the statistics are various ministries, agencies and organizations, as well as media and research institutions. Statistics Denmark receives information about the users' needs and satisfaction via the Contact Committee for Environmental Economic Accounts and Statistics., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, It is estimated that green taxes are the most accurate of the three main areas of the statistics, followed by environmental subsidies and environmental protection respectively. Sources of uncertainty include: misstatements in public accounts, the risk of overlooked items, the risk of incorrectly included items, the possibility of misclassification, and uncertainty regarding estimates of the environmental share of various accounts. Furthermore, the industry distribution of green taxes and environmental subsidies is based on a number of assumptions, which are also subject to uncertainty., Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, The statistics are published annually one month after the publication of the public finance accounts. The figures follow the National Accounts audit schedule and will only be finalized three years after the end of the accounting period. The statistics are usually published without delay in relation to the time announced., Read more about timeliness and punctuality, Comparability, The figures in these statistics are comparable to other statistics in several different ways. Land cover estimates how Denmark is covered by roads, buildings, crops, forests, lakes etc. Land use estimates for what purpose the land area of Denmark is used, e.g. for housing, industry, trade, recreation etc. Land accounts are part of the the Environmental-Economic Accounts (Green National Accounts)., Statistical presentation, Land accounts has three parts. Denmark's area in square kilometers in total and by municipalities and regions, land by land cover and land use by industry. Land by land cover and land use by industry are stated in square kilometers, square meter per capita and in percentage of the total land area, geographically divided by provinces and regions., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, The land cover accounts have been produced from consolidating a number of source maps, all of which shows aspects of Danish land cover. All the maps have been overlaid using GIS techniques and aggregated into one map. The main part of the GIS-related work has been carried out by DCE, Aarhus University. , The land use accounts have been produced by combining the Cadastral map with the registers on buildings, dwellings, businesses, municipal plans etc. The classifications from the registers have been combined and prioritized to create the classification of land by land use., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, The land accounts are relevant for users interested in how Danish land is used, and how this changes over time - including analyses of how different land covers and land uses may compete as demand for more urban land or more protected nature will have to mean less of other uses., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, The statistics are well documented and transparent, building on all relevant map sources for the land cover of Denmark.
