Definition

The indicator is calculated by Statistics Denmark. The indicator is calculated for equivalent disposable income. The proportion of the population and the number below 50 per cent. of the median income is measured. The indicator is identical to Statistics Denmark's indicator for low income. According to the UN definition, the indicator should also be disaggregated by disability status, cf. SDG definition 10.2.1. However, in Denmark, it is not possible to make such a disaggregation.
