Land for den ultimativ ejer
Detaljeret beskrivelse
I statistikken er fastlæggelsen af et firmas ejerskab knyttet til den ultimative ejer, der har kontrol over firmaet, dvs. har mulighed for at fastlægge et firmas generelle politik ved om nødvendigt at vælge en bestyrelse. Som hovedregl fortolkes den kontrollerende enhed som den ultimative ejer, der direkte eller indirekte er i besider mere end 50 pct. af egenkapitalen eller aktionærenes stemmeretigheder. Ultimativ ejer skal forstås i relation til den direkte ejer, idet et firma umiddelbart kan være ejet (direkte) fra et land, selvom det i sidste ende (ultimativt) er ejer fra et andet land. F.eks. vil et firma i Danmark, der i første omgang er ejet fra Luxembourg, men som i sidste ende er ejet med kontrol fra Sverige, indgå i statistikken som et svensk firma. Tilsvarende vil et firma ejet direkte fra Luxembourg indgå som et dansk firma, hvis den ultimative ejer med kontrol er lokaliseret her i landet.
